Investment or Support
Even though pretty much everyone agrees in the axiom that time is money, it is one thing to support someone by volunteering your time to them or to their cause, it does not compare to actually supporting them or their cause with actual money. After all, that is why they say “put your money where your mouth is” when they want to challenge you. Because “money talks” and yeah, I could keep going with the cliché sayings, but I will stop here.
Today I stood up for the people I care about and added money to my time and support for the people I care for and believe in. Although times are hard, I don’t mind helping out. In a way, I can call this an investment because I believe that helping others will eventually benefit you as well. Of course, this doesn’t happen often, but it is worth reaching out. And if not… well it’s still a type of support for people that deserve it.
