It would be impossible to recover fully and climb back from those depths I had found myself a day before. Even with the surprise rescue, I was still spent mentally, and hungry for interaction. When all is silent for too long, a voice can be a beacon to guide you. That’s what I needed today and that’s what I went after.
It was such a great feeling to hear my friends talk and joke and laugh and scream in my ear! Even such minimal contact was a blessing. It was just what I needed this day. It reminded me that even though I’m alone, I am not really. Words read are welcome, always. Words heard need no welcome because they are already inside you.
